Upcoming Parent Workshops
Dr. Francisco Reveles is a bilingual professor, motivational speaker and leadership trainer for students, parents and teachers. His background includes extensive research on resiliency and at risk youth. He speaks of his experiences as a child of migrant parents and how he overcame obstacles to become a teacher, counselor, principal and professor at Cal State University, Sacramento. He is the author of a book, “Encuentros: De Hombre a Hombre”, dedicated to Latinos.
Workshop topics include Teambuilding as a Family, Academic achievement of Latinos in California, Communication Between Parents and Children, Discipline at Home – a Cultural Perspective, Addressing Gang Behavior, and Asking for Help: Community Agencies and Support Networks.
